New here and been looking at my first Breitling. I was in a Breitling AD today and he finally had a new detailed book of the new models coming out. It showed the two new Superocean Coral Dials and the existing one seemed to only change the size (pretty sure 45MM). The one that I was more interested seems to be accurately pictured on the authentic watches web site. www.authenticwatches.com/breitling-supe ... -o506.html

New style is 42MM. They have two brown/bronze rubber straps available for this watch. One is the style that has Breitling on the strap and the other is the Ocean Racer which can be seen on Breitling's web site for the Superocean Heritage.

Thinking about getting the new style on a stainless bracelet and then getting one of the brown/bronze rubber straps and possibly having a black rubber strap to have some options. Does the AD definitely have to be the one swapping out straps?

Also really liking the all black Avenger Skyland.

no no no no.

Ugh, I told my rep about this and he is working on it.

The new Salesbook ( you know that notebook black and yellow thing at AD's with all detailed infor and dial choices?) well it has a typo, actually 2 typos that I have found.

For the 'older' SuperOcean it states that it used to be 45.4mm and shows the 'new' SuperOcean as 42mm. The older SuperOcean NEVER CHANGED IN SIZE. IT WAS AND STILL IS 42MM AND WILL STAY THAT WAY UNTIL IT IS GONE. There ISN'T a new 45.4mm SuperOcean with old dials.

Also, it states that the Skyland is 45.4mm, it is actually 45.0mm. It's not as big of a deal or confusing to new Breitling guys as the SuperOcean issue.

Thanks for the info. So it seems nothing has changed on the older style Superocean Coral Dial, which is great because I was torn between liking the new style but was liking the larger size of the older style. Since the older style is not larger, then it will make my decision easier.

btw, if you just want to play with the new and old style looks, color combinations as well as the bracelet and strap combinations, the Japanese fitting site has them both. (New and Old)

Welcome!

No, it doesn't have to be the AD who swaps the straps. You can do it yourself very easily, just get the right tool (a springbar tool, something like the Bergeon 6767-F) and be a little bit careful while swapping so you don't scratch the watch.

I also like the new look of the SO - when it is a dark dial. With a coral dial as in your link, I think the numbers disappear into the dial too much.

Good luck with the hunt!

Thanks to all for feedback, links and suggestions. I'll create a different thread for this question but in case someone who reads this knows the answer. What is the best way to get one of these Super Avenger Limited Edition Blacksteel watches? Is it esentially an Avenger Skyland but larger?

You will need to start contacting AD's to see which ones have any that aren't spoken for. My understanding is that each dealer is supposed to get at least one, with two or more going to those with more sales volumes.

Exp: my AD is allotted two of them, but both are spoken for.

Just an update on this thread as I may annouce in a new thread but I just paid for my new Superocean w/Coral Dial through In2Deep's group buy. Person was great to work with. Since I wanted options, I planned on ordering one black & one brown/bronze rubber strap and was considering the stainless steel bracelet as well. AD said they had one on a black "Breitling" rubber strap but would charge me for it on the stainless steel bracelet since I was ordering them all so I would get the larger discount on the more expensive bracelet. Unbelievable discount on watch and straps. Overnighting but brown/bronze ocean racer strap will be shipped seperately since they didn't have it in stock. Should be getting it tomorrow on a black strap along with a stainless steel bracelet. Will post pics when can. Thanks to In2Deep for the group buy option.

No luck as of yet on the Super Avenger Blacksteel.
