That looks like a Photoshop job to me (on my tiny iPhone screen anyway). Can't imagine a new SA would be so conservatively similar to the old one.

Very odd if it is real, as at a quick glance you'd be hard pressed to see any difference between this and the existing model. Looks more like a face-lift rather than a new version.... not that that's a bad thing at all of course.

Can't see that being the real deal, it's on a pro2, you'd think it would be on a pro3.

I don't think it's real either but the bracelet is a Pro III (unequal split in links) in the picture.

From the picture it looks like Pro III to me.
Can someone confirm if 168A is a 24mm Pro III?
Looks like they modernized the rider tabs but at least they did not Buck Rogerized the bezel :-)
In any case, 48mm is too big for my girlie wrist so looking at everything else that was announced, my wallet is safe, for now at least :-)

Definately genuine SA II. Image is taken from the Breitling retailers iPad app. Glad to see that the rider tabs on the new Avenger collection haven't changed their profile

Pearl, single batons, new bezel, brushed case, new bracelet by the looks of it - reminds me of a normal avenger in a way - on first impressions, it's OK BUT has lost a tad of its ruggedness

Well, Breitling are nothing if not surprising! I was expecting something more akin to the current SO line (i.e. rubber bezel, no pearl, Buck-bezel), so it is a refreshing direction to see something that is (very slightly) evolutionary instead of revolutionary for a change.

That said, and as I said above, it really does seem more like a face-lift than a new model. It also seems odd than the new Avenger line is now more "diver-like" (with the pearl, etc) than their diver line (the SO).

It's hard for me to be too enthusiastic about it given the 99% similarity to the old model, so in this case I'm a little indifferent to it. But I'd rather that than a hideous rubber-coated, Buckified, DLC'd reworking. So for that alone, I'd give this one a solid 7 out of 10.

I really do like the new rider tabs though! More distinctly rider-tab-like than those on the Chronomat 01, but a little more streamlined than the old "jumper-gaggers" of old. They're a good design move IMO.

Well that being the case...I like it. But still prefer the older polished model.

I'm kinda surprised its brushed which is more muted. The SA was always about being big and bold so brushed doesn't really go with that image as much. I like brushed watches, but it seems a little odd on a super avenger. I like the idea of gradual evolution though.
