Just received my invitation from Breitling to visit them in Basel and called them to say thanks. Off course I asked what would be new for this year and this is what they told me: 1. New Emergency (already knew this) 2. New Avenger series 3. New Breitling for Bentleys with own movement. I'm leaving for Basel on the 25th of April and have an appointment the same day with Breitling. I'll post pic's as soon as my meeting is over with them. |

Hmmmm, a new Avenger series...... that to me says, "ditching the rider tabs and sticking a rubber bezel on it without a bezel pearl ". Hope I'm wrong..... New Bentleys with their own movement - good to see the in-house movement continuing it's roll-out. Design of the watches will need to be seen of course. I'm still holding out for an in-house Navi World though! Thanks for the info. ![]() |

I heard rumours that Avenger is being repositioned as part of a move to in house movements. My guess is that putting that kind of price bump into what has traditionally been the 'value' range wouldn't work so the range is being relaunched to create separation from current offerings. No idea if that means in house this year or next year, and no idea how accurate the rumours are, but heard from a couple of different people. |

I think you'll see the theme at Basel will be for the Bentley in house models and a revised bentley lineup. The new super avenger will also be unveiled with an inhouse movement. No inhouse Navitimer world is what I've been told by a few sources. A B06 movement will also be released but no word on if that's a three hand movement or some other variation of the Chrono. |

Thanks for the info. ![]() My money is on the new Chronomat 01 style shirts and jumpers friendly rider tabs and space age Buck Rogers bezel font. That my friends would be the end of Breitling style rider tabs era. Introduced with the Chronomat 81950 in 1984 and gone from next year's 2014 Chronolog, 30 years to a dot. |

It'll either SO-like (i.e. rubber) like I said, or it'll be Chronomat 01 style (i.e. Buckified with reduced-profile rider-tabs) like you said. One thing is for certain either way though - as you rightly say, it'll be the end of the 30 year old rider-tab - the single most recognisably Breitling element outside of the Navitimer. |

Out of those 3 topics, I'm most interested in the Avenger updates. I'm foolishly hoping for a ceramic bezel instead of the rubber style on the new SuperOcean models. However, if they keep the steel bezel that wouldn't be so bad. Not sure why Breitling hasn't yet used ceramic. The material looks great on the Rolex, Omega, ORIS, etc. dive watches. |

Interesting? I´m now waiting for the news of the new avenger series with nervous excitment. ![]() Just guessing, but with how things went with the Chronomat. There´ll be a new inhouse model with new design and a serious price hike which would be sold in paralel with the old model for a good while. ...Based on nothing but my own lunacy. ![]() ... But what kind of design??? ![]() |

Maybe Avenger taking up the role of the phased-out CSO I. by showing a day-date version of the 7750? Pusher protectors should be more simple. I don't mind the re-designing of the rider tabs, after a couple of shirts and pullovers had to be thrown out because of my two rider-tab Lings. |

I hope I'm pleasantly surprised by the new revelations at Basel this year. Breitling is my favorite brand and I actually like the rider tabs. I'm happy they've progressed with inhouse movements, however the huge price hikes are certainly a concern, especially with the resale beating they take on the sales corner. |

I was at the AD in Abu Dhabi last week and was told a new Seawolf was a possibility maybe a return to Ti. |
