Just picked up my first Breitling and lucky enough to grab a super avenger. It is used but still new to me.

Here's my question on the screw down crown when I release it it seems a little loose like the pin is barely holding on. Also when tightening the crown back down it makes a very faint wind sound...all normal? Or do I have an issue?

Thanks in advance

The crown shouldn't be loose even when unscrewed, so it may be worth getting it looked at. With regards to hearing a winding sound when screwing the crown in, that's perfectly normal as the action of screwing the crown is the same as manually winding the movement.

It's so weird. Tight it's good. When open it feels like just the end of the crown is loose. Not the shaft itself just the knob.

As Driver8 says, not normal and it needs to be checked.

I just checked mine. The winding sound when you tighten the screw down crown is normal. When pulled out I would say the stem is easily turned and is very sensitive as to moving the hands. I wouldn't call it loose though.

Ive just had my sa back from Breitling because the crown wouldn't screw in [they fixed it under warranty].The winding sound when you tighten the screw down crown is normal but the crown doesn't feel loose .
