It came back after 4 weeks. Everything seems to be ok although I am afraid to use the chrono now! They sort of took some scuffs out from the side of the case, the bessle is just how I remember it. Something interesting is that the date on the watch was set to 5th. I dropped it off on march 4 so this tells me that it was never really run overnight or QA properly within this 4 weeks. Any thoughts on this? Btw All gaskets where replaced. |

well all that matters is that you got your watch back in a timely manner and that they fixed the issues (hopefully). Run the chrono and do some of your own testing in the next few days to see if its up to par. |

I will tomorrow. Worst case I just send it right back. I did put it under water today, no issues with the gaskets as of now. I would say 4 weeks was pretty quick so that's pretty good. I have been wearing my G Shocks since and man this watch is just awesome to have on the wrist! I thought about selling it after the repairs but I cannot get myself to do so. Really like it a lot, just sucks that the B01 movement has issues. |

Also maybe some of you may know.. The warranty on the B01 movement is supposed to be 5 years. Now that I sent the watch in, it says that the service they just performed is good for 1 year. So does that mean that the warranty is now 1 year or still the 5? |

I think what they are saying is the work they have carried out is guarranteed for a defects period of 12 months. This would be on labour. I think your 5 year warranteee is still in tact for everything else though, I think. You need to read the excuse clauses they woudl have provided you with on return of your watch, but you raise a good point. Give it a good run and see how it performs. . |

My guess is that this is a standard print on a service receipt/form as Breitling normally guarantees all their interventions for 12 months. Naturally, if the new watch warranty is longer, then the new watch warranty overrides it. |

It would make no sense for the reported issue to be covered for only 12 months when the rest of the watch was covered for longer. |

Glad you have it back. As far as the date goes, I wouldn't be too concerned: I should have thought Bretling will have run it and monitored accuracy before returning it. |

The date simply means that's how the date wheel was put back on it. The date wheel was removed along with the movement and as this isn't a perpetual / semi-perpetual movement there isn't a specific position for it to be reset. As others have said the 12 month service warranty is standard and won't affect the new purchase warranty. |

Btw how do they go about fixing the chrono on the B01? Did they just adjust my hour hand so that it resets flush? I still am afraid to run it for more than 1 minute at a time in fear that it wont reset properly. I wish they explained what was wrong with it in the first place. |

The entire movement will have been disassembled, inspected and reassembled. You have a warranty - not much point in spending a (not so) small fortune on a watch that you are scared to use. |

Ive had Breitling set the watch to current [EST] time/date and when it arrives back to me its still running and on time. 3 hours ahead, actually. I think you should just enjoy the watch and rely on the warranty if anything goes awry. |
