Hi guys, Just after comments regarding the size and weight of these two. They both appear to be 45mm, and the Mission is 156g vs 144g. Do they feel and wear similar? I found the Avenger to be quite comfortable. |

I don't believe you would notice the difference in weight. If it were 30 or 40g then yes, it would feel different but 12g is not enough really, IMHO. The emergency has the transmitter behind the bottom lugs, so there is a displacement of mass at that spot. I am kind of surprised there is only 12g in it to be honest. But, the centre of gravity may be different due to the transmitter case shape or the amount of metal being different places on each watch case. So, you might notice a difference in balance. Can you try an Emergency on? I guess you would not be asking here if it were possible…… I think I would take the Avenger anyway. |

You won't notice the difference. I tried a Skyland Avenger on at the AD and I own an Emergency Mission. Trust me it's not noticable. If you are looking for a good looking watch then I would agree with P51 but, if your looking for a good looking watch that has some wrist presence then it's the Mission every time. I have lost count of the number of people that have commented favourably on the Mission on my wrist. I sold it once but I bought it back again. The only watch I have ever done that with. Sorry, please excuse by slightly biased opinion ![]() ![]() |

In my opinion, the Mission wears much larger than the Skyland. The lugs are markedly longer, and it just felt bigger overall. |

Hmm, conflicting views .. The dimensions are not that different (same width, and 2mm higher for the mission), but it's how it sits on the wrist. The Avenger lugs are quite long and point down, where it *looks* like the mission sits a little more proud on the wrist. I'm after a Mission, I have an Avenger to compare to. Was just wanting to know what I was getting before I pull the trigger. Thanks guys. |

I tried them both (well the Avenger which should be the same as the skyland) before buying my Superavenger. The mission wore larger and the Avenger sat like a mini hockey puck (thick). Even though the SA is the same thickness, it seemed more balanced on my wrist. All cool watches nonetheless |

I agree, it looks a little like conflicted views here. But, what I think we are all saying is that the size and weight of both watches is practically the same. The only issue is weight distribution (CoG) and the balance that both watches would deliver on your wrist. Best bet is to try an Emergency on for size. That way you can immediately tell if ther is any real difference. I doubt it will seem any different, but there again it depends on your wrist size and strength. |

Personally I think there's absolutely no substitute for trying a watch on. The nominal dimensions give no more than an indication of how a watch will wear. Many watches wear very differently as so much is dependent on "wrist geometry", the case shape, the shape of the caseback, the length of the lugs, etc, etc. That said, I personally found the EM to be more SA-like than Avenger-like, but slightly more top-heavy. It didn't work for me. But as I say, that's just my experience with the EM. |

The EM is top heavy & will move on your wrist. But it has an incredible wrist presence & cool factor. I'm really hoping there will be an EM2 in April! |

Well I finally got a Mission, and (for me) it wears the same. So much infact I recon I'd be hard pressed to tell which was actually on my wrist. I feel the black face with white subdials "pops" a bit more though. My Emergency Professional feels like a toy compared. |
