Those are the new warranty cards for Breitling. A guy from Breitling Switserland came to install everything in my shop this morning. It looks really great. It is a kind of a screen that you get and once activated, it states the Jeweller, full collection name, COSC number and date of purchase. It comes in a leather kind of wallet (a bit like Rolex) with a maintanance booklet and warranty instructions. |

Like that idea a lot - one of Breitling's better moves recently. Will help to avoid the 'blank papers' issue and may also help with sales to grey market stores in that presumably Breitling will be able to monitor activations and compare against actual sales - although I am sure that the ADs that supply the grey market will find a way around it. Not sure that there is a tangible benefit for the consumer, other than perhaps second owners, but still a nice move. |

So what does it do? Is the theory that only ADs have the technology installed that can change the card to say warranty activated and include the watch details? Sent from my XT907 using Tapatalk 2 |

Sent from my XT907 using Tapatalk 2 Yes, indeed. You need a special tool to scan the card (will provide pic this weekend, forgot to take one today) and a special program to activate the card. Only an AD wil have those. |

Is there some kind of charging device with it? If not, wouldn't it eventually lose it's power and become unreadable? |
