Hello. I noticed the last few days that when my second hand on my SA hits the 60 mark, my minute hand would be halfway between the minute markers. I pulled the crown out to the date change position and pushed it in when the second hand hit 60. My question is is this normal to have to sync the hands myself? I've had numerous automatic chronographs from different watch companies and never noticed this before and I figured if anyone knew the answer it would be here.. Also my apologies if I've posted this in the incorrect section. Thanks in advance. |

Great question, I noticed the same thing after changing my date, I don't have an answer though. |

I don't know why I've never noticed this before.. Since I adjusted the crown it seems to be fine but I'd like to know for sure if its a common occurrence or not. I've searched the forum but couldn't come up with a solid answer. |

Does it stay in sync after your adjustment? It's very easy to misalign the hands when adjusting the time if you don't pay attention or don't do what you just did -syncing them up correctly- If the hands stay in sync going forward, let's say, for 3 or 4 days, I'd say your watch is fine. |

There's no issue. The running train has to have a certain amount of play to prevent it from binding and as the hands aren't synched this can easily occur (and if you address it then it will come back).
