Hi I have been trying to keep up with the commentary about the new calibre problems some have been experiencing.

I have a couple of questions to which I would appreciate finding answers.

First: these problems seem to have mostly to do with the chronograph functions, right? Is the actual timekeeping of the B01 up to snuff for everyone?

Second: is it only the 01 that is experiencing these problems? What about the B04 in the Chronomat GMT or the B05? I assume the same problems would be present since they are based on the B01 platform, but who knows? I don't.

Those are my questions. Thanks for your answers.

Others can comment specifically, but generally there have not been problems reported in timekeeping, and certainly my experience has been that the time keeping has been consistently well within COSC specs.

I haven't heard of too mnay problems reported beyond the pure B01, but remember that there are many more B01s out there than the variants, fundamentally the chronograph functionality is the same in all of them. That said, the variants were later introductions so if the earlier production pieces did have issues then they may have been resolved by the time the later B04 / B05 came out - which would also suggest that problems in later production B01s should have fewer problems.

From what I've read and experienced personally, the issues are definitely chronograph related. Oddly, both of my B01 pieces have now fallen WAY out of COSC spec, but I can't confirm this is an intrinsic issue with the movement. Prior to mysteriously going out of spec, both B01s kept time within 2 sec/day.

I don't know of anyone having issues with the B04 or B05 movements, but as Roff said, there are fewer of them in the hands of consumers. I would assume they will be plagued by the same chronograph issues, as the chronograph in these models is no different than the B01.

Timing issue with my B04. Just sent it back today, gaining 40 sec per day.
