I just noticed that the minute hand does not actually land on a specific minute mark when the second hand passes 60 sec. I mean it seems like the minute hand runs slighty faster than it is supposed to. Is it unusual? Please understand that I'm very new to Breitling and this may be one of stupid questions.

That's normal slack.
If you are bothered, put the minute hand cca 1/5 of the minute ahead and than run hacked seconds from the start.

But that's only temporary because the slack in the running train will cause it to revert.

Hi addsp2chp,

Not a stupid question at all. I hate having misalignment of a minute or hour hand on any of my watches, so I know how you feel.

If the minute hand does this consistently on most or every minute mark, then it’s most likely the alignment of the dial to the movement or the hand to the dial. The simplest way of fixing this is to realign the minute hand with the minute markers. They can easily get out of alignment depending on whether they have been removed and reset (not so skilfully), or if the dial is a little loose it could have moved out of alignment with the hands.

There is always slack in the gear train and unless the hands were perfectly aligned when installed, then the error the slack causes will be become noticeable.

Take it to an AD if it’s under warrantee or to a reputable watch maker if not and get them to assess and adjust the misalignment.
