I would put it on the laptop or table surface before I out it on the watch, but if you used it smartly it might work on the clasp just fine.
Just cape cod it and get it perfect before doing it

I just received my Skyland the other day, and i've been wearing it non-stop. I work on my MacBook Pro all day and night for work, the wrist pads are metal, and I am hitting my watches on it all day and night. Just in the past few days, the clasp on my Skyland has gotten pretty scratched, as well as my other pieces. What do you guys do to keep your polished bracelets and watches shiny and scratch-free or is it inevitable? I know it won't be perfect forever, but my clasps get really scratched and dull. |

You could place a microfiber towel between the two, or take your watch off... or use a 3M clear bra material that cars are having installed. here is an example of an installer: http://www.mishield.com/ you could just as for a scrap piece or a sample piece. The product was originally developed by 3M for the US Military, to protect helicopter blades in the desert. |

Why didn't I think of that?? I install LLumar clear bras at my detail shops!! I'm not sure if I wanted anything like that on my watch tho, but I guess there is no other way. Its just my Skyland is less than a week old and it already has some nice scratches on the clasp. |

+1 more for ebay cape cods. There is one seller that will get you a two pack for about $5 shipped. He (or she) ships fast too. As far as scratches go though: just learn to live with them. They are inevitable, and dwelling on them will drive you crazy. If youre like the majority of us, youll stop worrying in no time. Just bust out the cape cod once every couple months and you should be good to go. |

Yes Cape Cods are available on eBay, while you're at it look for a Selvyt Polishing cloth to wipe it off (they are washable and re-usable) and a NANO-Fiber cloth for the detailing. They are amazing! |

cape cods are good....but honestly....its going to get stratched no matter what you know? unless you wear a long sleeve everyday but even that if you hit something could still stratch.... |

I have been able to locate the Cap Cod Clothes at my local hardware store. If you can find it there, it comes in a round tin that has numerous Cods with a polishing cloth and rubber gloves. I think in truth a slightly scuffed watch (nothing excessive mind you) makes it look like you didn't just walk out of the store with it--reduces the "new money" thing that some Breitling owners worry about as a negative perception. Kind of makes it look like you didn't just stumble into a few bucks the other day.

the only way to keep it scratch free is to not wear it. if it really bothers you, cape cods as others have mentioned :p but then youve gotta work on it all the time. even the cuffs on your shirt are going to put swirls in a polished bracelet. |
