The display on my B1 has started flashing so I guess it needs needs a new battery, and I'd like to get it overhauled at the same time. As I bought it privately and it's my first Breitling, should I just send it directly to BUK or do I need to go via an AD? Also does anybody know roughly how long it will be gone for? |

Completely up to you. Many people prefer to send direct simply because they have more control over the process, just call them first to get any special instructions that they want. Servicing is generally around 8 weeks but a UK member may be able to give you a more exact current estimate. |

I go through the AD, simply because I can't get high enough insurance for post (any post I could find). If it gets lost it would be a lot easier claiming from the AD I think. Matt |

Thanks Roffensian. I have called them up and they confirmed it will take about 8 weeks! Really didn't think it would be away for that long. I now understand why there is a need to own a collection of watches. Good point Matt, RMSD only goes upto £2500. Should be ok for a B1 but I imagine claiming could be a pain. Do the ADs generally add on a fee or is the price about the same? |

I can't remember if they charged me a fee when I sent of my emergency for some warranty work. But if there was a fee it was cheap. |
