I bought my Chrono SuperOcean new from my local AD a few years back (black dial). I bought it on the Pro II bracelet and shortly after purchased an Ocean Racer. I also have the rubber "Hershey" strap, and the tang buckle leather in black. The watch spends most of its time on the Ocean Racer. I took my Pro II bracelet and gave it a brushed finish and put it on my 2005 42mm Blue Steelfish. I'm considering putting my CSO on a mesh bracelet.
Does anyone have a CSO on mesh? Breitling mesh, Omega mesh, aftermarket mesh. If you do . . . would you post some pics please. Thanks.

Here it is on the Breitling mesh but I didn't like it. Too thin and too narrow. Hope this helps.

why not try a leather strap?

I would either re-polish the ProII. or give the dial side of the lugs and crown protector a (circular) brushed finish.
BTW I wear mine on the ProII. with the OR clasp (minimal mod. was necessary).
Anyway, a nice watch with day-date, enjoy!

I have a Sicura on mesh, but that’s about it. Mesh is OK, but I have hairy arms! Always getting arm hair caught in the mesh. Serious. I think it might be because the mesh is fine enough to catch my arm hair. I don't have a pic of it, but it’s not what you would want to see anyway.

I have so much trouble with this I have abandoned the idea of mesh all together in the future.

By the way, your watch looks nice on mesh, so go for it.

I don't think the CSO will detract on mesh, but don't brush the CSO whatever you do. Leave it as it is IMO.

I would try it on a new style breitling leather strap,I've just put a black one with red showing at the
Sides and underneath on my steelfish very impressed with its sporty look.
Also impressed with the quality of the strap.
Think your CSO would look nice with a black one with white on the sides and bottom.

I myself have my CSO polished as outta box and love her this way. But if you see the CSOII. (which I dislike otherwise mainly because of leaving weekday feature out) there is a brushed/polished version too and as the bracelet is already brushed aftermarket this might be an option too.

I'll be the dissenting voice. I think the mesh looks good on that CSO. If you like, OP, then go for it.

That’s cool guys. Whatever your requirements are, go for it.

I just think that altering the way the watch came from the factory with permanent (or semi permanent) changes is not such a great thing. Just my opinion and before any one does do this, I think they need to give it a great deal of thought prior to changing the case finish etc.

It’s similar to getting that first tattoo. Is it something you will regret later on…………..

Straps are a different matter, as they are simple and easy to change.

Beg to disagree: I have changes on 3 Lings outta the 4 I have and enjoy them a lot. I call it personalization Yes, keep smiling and enjoy our beautiful Breitlings - modified or not! Just my 2 cents...

I haven't checked in on my thread for a day or two. First, Robertus61 . . . thanks for the picture. I agree with you, the Breitling Heritage mesh bracelet looks to thin and narrow for the CSO. However, I would never scuff up the buttery smooth sides of my case though. . . love the finish, hate the finger prints. CGS, I have a black tang leather Breitling strap . . . I love what it looks like off the wrist but don't care for the look, fit, or feel on my wrist. What started me on this mission was a picture I found online of a black dial Superocean (Pre-Abyss) on an Omega Mesh bracelet with an Ocean Racer clasp. Breitling purists be aware, veiwing this picture may be harmful to your health (scroll down to the fourth pic) DROOL . I was just wondering if it would look that smoking hot on my CSO. Anyway, I have spoken to my AD by phone who is going to hook me up with a new Pro II bracelet. He is giving me a great deal as he has a few extra in stock . . . while I'm there I will probably pick up a new smooth black Diver Pro . . . he says he has them to fit my Ocean Racer clasp. Might get a blue Ocean Racer for my SteelFish as well. I just can't get that picture out of my mind though. I'm thinking I just might have to find an old Superocean and an Omega mesh.

The Heritage mesh looks great on my blue dial Chrono Cockpit and would look extremely good IMHO on a Chronomat 41... an OR clasp upgrade would be nice on the mesh, just like it is a valuable upgrade on my CSO ProII. and CC Pilot brracelets.

Like my mother always said, if you don't have anything nice to say, never let someone put a mesh bracelet on a Chrono SuperOcean and justify a negative remark!
