Hi guys,

I've got an opportunity to buy a Cosmonaute on the air racer bracelet. I've never seen the air racer in person, i've read that it can be quite uncomfortable. I only have 6.5" wrists so I'm concerned I won't fill out the bracelet properly.

Has anyone tried it on? What are you opinions of it -can you offer any advice?

Thanks,
Mike

We could trade bracelets if you want to get the cossie. I have one with the navitimer bracelet and I really like to have the air race....

Cheers!

Hmm, too late - I have managed to scratch the clasp on my SOHC 46. I keep telling myself it adds character. I wear it daily.

Mike, I haven't tried an Air Racer, so I can't comment on comfort. However, the AR is of a very particular style, and a rather polarizing one at that. So before you consider the comfort factor, you might want to make sure it's even what you want.

Saw one today in person at a local AD. Man, oh man, do I dislike that thing. Make sure you take a good, long, hard look at that thing before you purchase. Not trying to push my opinion on you, but those things look cheap.

That's good advice right there. If you like it, then great - buy it and don't worry about what others think - BUT if you are in any way unsure about it then my advice would be to stear well clear. Resale is not likely to be the easiest thing in the world because, as noted, it's a very polarising design.

Just to add to the thread in case others are interested in the subject. I have one, and love it! Though VERY polarizing among the Bling crowd, it garners a lot of attention on the street and is a great conversation piece.

My wrist is roughly 8" and I had to have the AD remove a link to make it fit properly. I'd absolutely not buy one until you had a chance to try it on for a bit. Besides the look, the feel is a little different and isn't for everyone.

I just purchased a new Cosmonaute LE on an Air Racer and I love the feel and the blingy look. To each his own as they say.
