Hello all,

im contemplating getting a breitling to compliment my panerai. the models i am considering are the avenger, seawolf and superocean. all in this order, im leaning towards the avenger in either the grey/ or white dial. what do you guys think. thanks

All are great looking watches in my opinion.

SuperOcean is only a centre second movement. Only avaible in white if you choose the Steelfish or Heritage versions (I think).

Avenger in white looks the part but grey could be a cool alternative.

Seawolf is a centre second also, unless you opt for the Chrono model. My pick would be model 279 or 283.

Enjoy.

Jim

White Avenger for me. Really "clean" looking appearance and, as mentioned, has the additional chrono function.

That´s so much a personal taste question and by going to an AD to try them on, one will probably grab your attention the most anyway. Also
all beautiful pieces. ;)

... But since you asked: the AVENGER!
It has all the right Breitling-ie characteristics wraped up in one lovely piece of quality steel, the bezel, the slash cut links of the Pro II bracelet and it´s a chrono which is historically Breitlings backyard. Really can´t go wron with it! :) (And no I´m not biased with my Avenger Skyland) ;)

Most Pams are non chronos so if yours is too, then with that in mind, a chrono might be a nice fresh addition to your collection?

(btw none of the afformentioned models has a white dial version. It´s much closer to silver with an adition of just the slightest beige-ish tint. Very classy looking just not a clear crisp white like the Super Avenger has.)

I wanted a non chrono for a 2nd watch and got a Seawolf with silver dial. It's nice on the bracelet, but just as good on the diver pro II I just bought. If your Panerai is a crono I'd probably go Seawolf, and if it's not, Avenger. Pricing was also a factor in my decision, and had it not been I very well might have talked myself into the Avenger. I don't think you can go wrong with either. The Superocean has grown on me, but every time I look at it I think it would be so much better with a ceramic bezel, and then I lose interest.

I can only comment on the Seawolf, and yes, it's definitely silver. But it's a light shade of silver, nothing close to a grey which is a dial color I dislike. Depending on the light it can also look more white, and looks good. It's also not at all like the most recent Steelfish which has a cream colored dial.

forgot to ad this...
If I were on the market right now for an Avenger, I´d try to find one of the limited edition Yellow Code versions. It just looks so right with the very stylish "Breitling yellow" accents!!! If that sounds like your thing, there still could be some out there?

You´ll find some very nice photos here with the search function. Just have some tissue ready incase you get hit by a sudden urge to drool? ;)

thanks for the replies everyone, i have a non chrono pam, i can get a very good discount on all breitlings. i think its between the avenger and seawolf at this point. difference for me is about $1,000 more for the avenger. but if i go avenger im leaning towards either the gray or silver dial, and for seawolf i would get the blue, choices choices lol. thanks once again everyone.
