Post subject:  SA factory set diamond bezel Question

well i did mail 4 AD's and none of them did replie with a answer to my satisfaction so i'm going to ask it here.

How can i see if the factory set 2 row diamond bezel is indeed factory set and not aftermark(reed custom made)?
Is there a extra number or adition in to the waranty papers, some number on the watch it self or.... what :?:

the reason I ask is that I can not find anyting on my watch or paper work
I did buy the watch from a trusted person, but he did not know it either

A watch with a genuine factory diamond bezel comes with an additional little booklet about the same size as the warranty booklet that details the clarity of the diamonds and (I think) the serial number of the watch.

Failing that, and apart from sending it to Breitling for authentication, the only other way to be 90% sure is to look at it under a loupe. The quality of aftermarket settings just cannot compete with factory settings as on aftermaket ones someone has to cut into the bezel by hand to set the stones. You always end up with slightly less clean cuts (even on very good ones), than on the factory ones which are perfect.

I'm pretty sure a watch that comes with factory diamonds, there is something that comes with the papers that says the following:

PIERRES: DIAMANTS = STONE: DIAMOND

AND

POIDS ET PURETé = Weight and Pureness

Wait a minute, where did you get your SA and for how much? The reason I ask is that the factory diamond bezel setup on a SA is about $13.3k while an SA without the diamonds is $4550. Aftermarket diamond bezels are $999-1699 so as you can see there is a BIG discrepancy in price. If you paid for a factory setup and got aftermarket you need to rally the troops ;)

3500 euro (5.136,95 US$) with the diamond bezel and I did buy it "as is" (of course with paper work) and the selling date on the waranty paper is 10-06-2007
when i did ask the seller for the bezel he didend know if it is orginal because he did buy a few watches and the SA was one of them

the diamonds how ever are vvs1 and color G(1) - J(1) and 2.25 carat total

btw.. on your 4550 US$ we must pay 19% of taxes so that's 5414,50 US$ equals 3.688,76 €

you should get something like this...

Also I don't think they make a 2 row diamond bezel but I could be wrong.

How would you know they are VVS1 stones? You just said this watch was with a aftermarket bezel and now you claim its original factory? Which is it?
