I've been considering picking up a nice Breitling Aerospace, E75362, for some time now and am wondering how easy it is to use since it doesn't have extra buttons like most digital's?

Since the digital readouts don't light up, is the luminous on the hands easy enough to read throughout the night?

Also, how loud is the alarm?

It's not 'easy' to use, especially for functions where you need to pull out the crown. I struggle without taking the watch off my wrist. As an example, setting time on the countdown timer is a PITA without taking I off to pull out and twiddle he crown.

Now, as for the displays. These are impossible to read at night. If you want an Aerospace you can read at night you need the latest Avantage model which has a backlight to the displays, but the downside I have found with mine (and othe have also commented on) is that the display is less easy to read in some natural light. The Lume is OK on the hands and dial, but I find that if the watch has been sitting under my shirt or jacket most of the day, it hasn't had enough light to charge the lume up, so by 3 or 4am it's pretty weak.

Alarm is OK but no ear-splitter. It will wake me up ok though as its at a good frequency that just cuts through ... It's a kind of two-tone 'high-low' which I find pretty good.

I'm a big fan of the Aerospace, though prefer the clean look of the early models dial faces. The Italicised numerals on the Repetition Minutes and the shiney numerals on the Avantage model aren't great for a 'task watch' which is what I use mine for, but I've yet to find a watch that I can wear comfortably, has the functions that I need (especially as my Avantage has a Co-pilot on the strap) and is as good looking.

Short answer is pretty easy.

Its easy to move from function to function or put the light on.

The display and dial are easy to read.

The alarm isn't that loud, but its probably ok. I don't use the alarm to wake me up, just remind me of meetings etc.

For changing things which need more control of the crown (such as setting timer, changing time, changing alarm time etc) taking the watch off your wrist is pretty much a must.

The nice thing about the Aerospace is it is very intuitive and easy to change from one mode to another. There is no need for memorizing various pusher combinations to use the various modes. The downside is, you spend a lot of time twirling the crown to make things happen. This can be difficult while wearing the watch... sometimes its just easier to take the watch off an hold it while setting timers or doing things that require a lot of crown twisting.
