Why is 879a different ? I thought it was just the one is a brushed finish, and the other polished ?Is it the spacing of the spring bar hole ?

I'm looking to replace my brushed Pro1 bracelet that has 879a endlinks, with a Brushed Pro 2 bracelet with 131a endlinks,

Don't have them side by side to compare, but they are identified as different so the endlink geometry must be different.

Well I've had different stories from AD's.....

2 AD's have said they are the same endlink, only difference is one is polished (878a) and the other is brushed (879a) so in theory a 131a endlink should fit either. Breitling would supply a Pro2 with 131a endlinks if the watch was recommended a new bracelet whilst in for service. As a direct replacement. 1 has fitted new Pro 2 bracelets on to 2001 -2003 SuperOceans in the past

1 AD is getting back to me after speaking to BUK

1 AD said if the watch is Pre-2003 the 131a wont fit.

So who do I go with ?

Its for this anyhow 8)

Just spoke to a lurvely lady at BUK

She said the only way to know 100% is to send it in to them and they will fit the correct endlinks to match the watch/Pro2 bracelet.

although... this thread.... not mine

I'd love to know what you find out, Murph. My 17345 SOP is quite battered and the bracelet has seen better days...about four years ago. If I knew I could have it fitted with a brushed Pro II I'd greatly consider sending it in for a full service and new bracelet over trading-up to a 42mm PO.

Well...... last night I called up my friend who has a 2009 SO.... but on an older Pro1 bracelet
So I got the chance to try an 878a endlink on the watch.

As Ace Ventura would say.........

" LIKE A GLOVE !"

:yeahthat

Just ordered up a set of 131a's ....which in theory should now fit exactly the same.

I find myself in a similar predicament. I have a 42mm SO SteelFish that I would like to add a Pro II bracelet to, however I cannot seem to find a clear answer as to endlink fitment. The Pro I endlinks are branded 893A and Im assuming, after reviewing this post, that an 878A is similar to an 893A so a 131A should fit. Is that right? If not, any further insight would be greatly appreciated.
