Today, I just pulled a complete 180 and fell for one of my least favorite Breitlings, the Aerospace. I finally saw its beauty, which is its simplicity, thin profile, and light weight. Upon some research, I realized that the 2012 year model has a textured dial which takes away from some of its simplicity. I like it, but am curious what the Aerospace fans think of it. Which is more desirable? Is the new dial equivalent to the "buck bezel?" Or is it a revolutionary update along the lines of the Navi 01 that is perceived in a positive light? Ps. I won't be upset if anyone wants to post some pictures, especially showing off its thin profile. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

Nice. Thanks for posting. What are the functions of the co-pilot? Also, how do you like the new 2012 dials? |

In pictures it looks a bit too "much" for me, I do not like the round pattern. Those Italic-fonts looks also good on those older Aerospace. That's what I though too but I found an AD four months ago that had two in stock and trying to unload them to make room for the ones with the fancy dial. They offered me 40% off and I took it. My previous Aerospace was bought preowned with full box and papers from Tourneau. Traded it plus cash for a Sub LV and missed it ever since. ![]() |

I wouldn't mind 40% off. Lol. That bronze dial is incredible. |

You can't go wrong with the Aerospace and you would not be disappointed strapping it on your wrist. The newer 42mm Aerospace is the most comfortable watch in my collection. I'm a fan of the larger case. I know it's personal taste, but I'm not a fan of the most recent dial incarnations. Not a fan of the textured dial and even less of a fan of the newer one with the additional numbers squeezed onto the dial. Also, you mention the low profile of the case. I love the fact that the watch is thin enough to fit under sleeves and is just down right sleek on the wrist. ![]() ![]() |

Great photos Turkeylover. I'm really starting to appreciate thin watches. There's nothing better than not worrying about my watch snagged my cuffs or constantly fixing my cuffs. You said that Breitling crammed additional numbers onto the dial. It looks like they just replaced the 24 hour markers with 12 hour ones. I think the seconds graduations make the dial look busier, in addition to the texture, more so than the hour markers. I like that the Breitling logo is now painted on a raised platform. I also noticed that the 24 hour chapter ring was angled before. Now the dial is completely flat. It seems all these changes took away from the utilitarian tool look of the previous version. You can easily imagine the older version on the wrist of a military pilot, a bit less so with the newer one. Besides the new textured dial and the plain dial ones posted above, are there any other dial versions on the 42mm? ( not including the LEs). Does anyone here own the newer version? Edit: Looks like the seconds chapter ring is on a diagonal. Here's a picture. This is the first time I noticed that the outside of the dial has a circular pattern on it and that the "small" arabics are raised. ![]() Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

Thanks jnelson. I'm torn.. They're both nice. I think I need to visit some ADs to see them in person. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |
