Just wondering If I decide to buy a watch from an authorized dealer for $4300. What will be the resale value of the watch if kept in good condition after a few years? Of course, allot of factors come in play so how about an approximate answer?

Thanks,

It'll be worth whatever people are willing to pay :-)

Sorry it isn't a straight forward answer... but there is no easy answer. All depends on whether you find people who want to buy the model/colour/dial/subdials etc combo that you are selling at the time.

Have a look at the for sale section of the forum and also ebay's completed listings to see what second hand SA's go for now.

Other than perhaps a Rolex or Patek, a watch is going to suffer the gap value fall much like a new car. My AD usually sells LNIB SAs for 3,000-3,300-ish and I imagine other ADs are probably around that too...so private party value will be a bit less, but if it is from an AD in like new condition with all papers/parts and an active warranty, I would say not much less. If it is close to the 5-7 year mark, than in many cases significantly less as it is nearing its major service. If you are still shopping around, check out some of the forum sponsors. There are numerous ADs here that offer exceptional pricing and customer service.

The Super Avenger is all over eBay and forums so there are plenty of examples of resale prices to check with.
