Just got my Aerospace back from a complete overhaul at BUSA. I bought it last summer from a local AD. It came with some problems... The finish was rather tired looking, the plating on the rider tabs was worn, the crown/mode selection was erratic, the alarm didn't work.

BUSA had it for about 6 weeks and turned it into a new watch. New superquartz movement, crystal, rider tabs, hands.

Unfortunately, when I got it back the crown was nearly impossible to rotate. I had to send it back to CT again. They replaced the crown, and all is good now. The superquartz movement is everything they say it is... It hasn't deviated one second in the two months I've had it back.

It looks great! That bracelet is so unique and I love the contrast. My experience with BUSA has been that of nothing except top-quality work. They aren't the fastest by any means, and occasionally a watch needs to go back for a few minor things, but once it is all said and done, the end product is fabulous.

Just curious but I thought all the superquartz movements for the early Aerospace had the larger digital display at the bottom.

I'll bet his is a conversion to Super Quartz and not one that originally came with Super Quartz...

I know it didn't originally come with a Superquartz but what I'm saying is that I didn't know Breitling offered a Superquartz for the earliest Aerospaces with the smaller bottom displays. I thought it was the larger bottom displays that were Superquartz compatible.

The Superquartz movement did not exist when this watch was originally made. Apparently there is a version of the Superquartz movement that fits the older Aerospace with the smaller lower display. I was told that all replacement movements for these older Aerospace watches are Superquartz.

I was very pleased with the quality of BUSA's service. It did take about 6 weeks, and then another 3 weeks when it had to go back. It wasn't cheap, but they really did a fine restoration.

Just got my Aerospace Repetition Minutes back from BUSA for an upgrade to the Super Quartz. Very happy as should be.

This is the Second Aerospace I have at the CT group work on for me.

Thanks,

Barry
