Hi I'm new to the site so hope this right what I'm doing and in the right place. I have just bought a headwind and its a great watch. My brother has one as well and I have noticed the the strap is slightly larger on my one and has a raised wing on the clasps/buckle it on a pilot strap the watch is a later one than my brother his is a 2002 my one is a 2004 was the strap change or is this a strap from another breitling watch in my opinion it look better on the larger strap if anyone has any info on this I would be great full cheers Ryan boschy22

Are you referring to leather straps or steel bracelets?
I believe the Headwind bracelets are either the 350A or 354A.
I guess one is with the stamped logo and the other with a raised logo on the clasp.
Size wise there should not be a difference between them.
The bracelets have the reference number normally stamped on them near the end links close to the watch lugs. There should also be a manufacturing date code like 2502 which means week 25 year 2002.
If it is leather straps anything is possible.
Best suggestion, post some pictures, preferably showing any reference numbers on the strap or bracelet, whichever one it is.

Hi there thanks for your reply I have looked at the strap (it's a steel pilot) and I have found the numbers 372a and the other one I think is the date one is s2407 I am starting to think this is off a later watch? It 22mm at the lug ends and 20mm at the clasp end I think the original headwind strap is a 22mm to 18 mm .dont no what to think about this now? I have 7 day to return the watch as it came from a shop what do you think? Any other info on the serial no of the strap and where it came form that would be great .

Many thank ryan

It has the wrong bracelet on it. 372a is for the Chronomat Evolution.

Does the 372a fit the watch we'll?
If so I'm not sure if I'd worry too much. Your call though.
I have two Chronomats 13050, one with the original 300a bracelet and one with a 361a from a Cockpit.
I can not tell the difference between the two bracelets other than the ref numbers.

Nope, both are polished and stamped logo, 354A is faceted like Blackbird's.
