How often do you really take you Breitling i for service? What do they really do?

I honestly don't follow the Breitling guidelines of servicing. I tend to send mine when "they need it", which has been after approx 6 years (for the only piece I've sent so far). They made a complete service, completely disassembled the watch and looked at every component, changing the parts that needed to be changed. Cleaned every part and buffed out all scratches/dents before assembling, settling/checking/adjusting the movement and sending it back.

Absolutely worth it!

Yes you can - it's expensive! My Bentley Le Mans service cost £415. :?

Driver: Move to Japan! If you're a Club Breitling member (which you become when buying one at an AD) you get a 50% discount on all service and repair one week / year!

It varies on model and what the watch needs. I've seen some receipts with ranges of $300-600 on it

I was told by a local AD that if it's not broke, don't fix it. I was then told by an AD when I was on vacation to have it serviced every 5 years or so, his logic was you wouldn't drive a car without oil in it so why do the same to your watch?
