I secured a black dialed Chrono Avenger with Pro II. It is a preloved, barely a month old and it was originally purchased from a reputable grey dealer.

Still has the two year warranty from them.

Can't wait to get it!

Got it yesterday... here are some photos...

The outerbox - looks different from my original Avenger box. The original one was ALL yellow, this one appears to be a little more artistic.

Image

Now the new bakelite box. The top box is more curved, comparing to my original box it was just a square box no curves. Better IMHO.

Image

Now this is where I had a momentary freak out. I thought the customs official played a nasty trick on me by confiscating the watch. As you can see it looks like its just the pillow and no watch!

Image

Now photos of the dial at an angle..

Image

Closer look...

Image

Watch strapped on the pillow outside its travel pouch...

Image

The pro II bracelet - my original had a Pro I. Main difference is that Pro I has a dive extension while the Pro II does not. The Pro II looks massive.

Image

Shots of the crown and its pushers.. always love the look of it...

Image

Image

Now, the obligatory wrist shot..

Image

Finally its brothers joining in on the fun!

Image

Hope you enjoyed it...

That is one of the best looking, toughest watches I have seen. That is my total unbiased opinion. I own the same watch but w/blue face and the PRO I band. The head is a 2007 and came with the rubber strap but I bought the PRO I because not only was it cheaper from $750 down to $475, but I like the way it looks. :P

I agree with ya!

The CA that was stolen from me also had the blue dial, but since I already had the blue, might as well try the black face on Pro II.

Love the rugged looks...

Lovely set of timepieces you have there Mr Roadcarver.... BUT...., I'm just starting to think you may need a little bit more colour in your watch life!

I reckon a yellow dial Seawolf would go very nicely with that little lot. :)

just beautiful. I know Costco at one point had that watch for sale. Tempted to buy but the lack of funds prevented it.

Roadcarver: Of course the new Ling is awsome! But so is your photgraphy. Could you please tell us what camera and lens combo you used...and any other photography details. I would like to take quality photos of my Lings...and you certainly know how to do...and, no doubt, with the right equipment!

Hi Benz-Friend,

Thanks for the kind words. I'm only using a Nikon Coolpix 5700 as my macro camera. I'm not using any Macro lens/filter, just the macro function.

Little PP, usually just cropping.

I'm trying to get a lightbox going, but don't have the time to do so, hence I just use natural light whenver I can. Of course, with natural light, no need for flash which can wash out the frame.

Oh, I also use a tripod (mini and a big one) to get my shots clear else it will have motion blur.

Regards,

Vernon

Hey Driver 8,

Yeah, was thinking of that too, but the CA yellow dial is only with the M1, and I'm favouring autos right now. I was going to pull the trigger on a yellow dial Seawolf, but for $300 more, I went with the CA.

Best,

Vernon
