ok, i have been "chasing" the super avenger for a good part of 5yrs or so now. lol. everytime i tell myself im going to buy one, something else tempts me. whether its another watch or other things....

here is my dilemma lately. i know i need to get the SA but the only thing in my way price comparable is the omega planet ocean 45.5mm 8500 in house.. im in love with both of them at the moment. i guess the main reason that would keep me from getting the SA is im worried about how the high polish finish is going to hold up. it wont be worn daily because of my job, so other than that. idk. so im sure most of you have been through this dilemma at some point? between two watches. i wanted to hear what you have to say/have experienced.

im interested in the SA white face, white subs, baton dial. bracelet only! (not much of a strap guy)

or the PO xl, with 3,6,9, in orange/grey bezel.

8" wrists, 6'3". also, i dont really "dress up" that much. more of a sporty/casual type.

SA all day long! I'm in love with mine - I even dressed it up with a diamond bezel which can't stop staring at.

I have 4 super avengers all stainless bands they hold up very well and can be polished very easy. I also have a omega planet ocean chrono 45.5mm hardly wear it. Just love the super avengers. Awesome watch. Make the purchase.

I've had two SA's and still got one of them, but if it was a choice between an SA or a PO with the 8500 movement I'd personally take the Omega every single time. More unique movement as its in-house and just less bling and ostentatious. I like big watches myself, but the SA is very much a statement piece rather needing to be that size for any practical reason.

I have got the white SA with arabics love it to bits the only problem with its size is that your other watches feel so small (terrible problem to have :D ) have been looking at the omega PO XL as well just wondering how to raise the funds and worse tell sorry ask the mrs
Think your big problem will be when you choose and purchase, you will always wonder about the other..

Happy shopping

yeah, i hear ya. i plan on owning both, just cant purchase at the same time. (or let myself)

the size issue... one of the reasons i havent been able to pull the trigger on the rolex deep sea. (besides the price) its still a 'small' watch to me. especially compared to a super avenger.

their is an AD that has both PO and SA by me. im gonna have to try em on side by side before i purchase. im leaning towards the super avenger. just for the fact until i own one i dont think the urge will go away..... lol

My SA was my first Breitling years ago. I saw it when I was overseas about the time they first came out and knew I had to have it. The high polished steel with the white face (before they started with the red "automatic" on the face) makes for a very eye catching look. The strap does get some scuffs, but its steel, if it gets to the point of really looking weathered, it can be polished.

My daily wear is a Ti Chrono avenger, but if I get dressed up but dont want to bust out the rolex, the SA is what I wear. If I didnt have the Ti Chrono, I would probably wear the SA a lot more then I do, but the light weight Ti kinda grew on me.
