Hi anyone here got any information on this particular model please, I'm very interested in finding out more, I have emailed Breitling directly but have had no response what so ever, thanks in advance for your assistance.

Just thought I would add further information to this post regarding authenticity of this watch, This was one of several watches ( including a platinum diamond encrusted Rolex Day-Date ) personally presented to me by Sultan Qaboos bin said al said of Oman, many years ago, so I have no reason to think its a fake it bears the Royal Oman crest as does the Rolex and other watches. I'm certain the Sultan of Oman would not be giving out fakes. Here is another example of a Royal watch I found online

Picture of the movement added on page two..... better one too follow soon

I have never seen anything like this and must say I'm sceptic. The dial seems to be with arabian markings (?) but the look of the dial as well as the bezel is very uncharacteristic for a Breitling. For the caseback, to me it seems someone is trying a bit too much to convince it's "real". Things like the "All Swiss Made", the amateurlike engraving of "Titanium", the lack of google matches for a model 6670 (or 8670) and the conclusive "Water Resistant" (to what depth would be the natural thing to print) would all be enough to put me miles away from this one.

There was an old breitling model I remember with a similar bezel, with colored inserts. But I agree with aleister--im skeptical of this one as well.

Never seen it, but dial logo looks very real to me.

I have seen something similar to this in the past, but I can't remember the details. Don't think that I have anything in my reference material even if I was at home.

Not for nothing but when I was in Kuwait a few years back I did some business with one of their shiekhs who was also a ranking minister in their gov't. The last day I was there he presented me with a Breitling watch which I immediately spotted as a fake. Of course I would not dare call him out on it, so I just graciously accpeted it. I don't have pics but it has a quartz movement with two LCD displays much like the Aerospace models. It has the slide rule bezel and a picture of a old Bi-plane on it at the three o'clock area. The case back has what looks like some type of conversion formulas for various distance/weights and has a brushed braclet and case. I just said thank you and accepted the watch and smirked on my way out.

Moral of the story.....rich/wealthy people can have fakes too.

Please correct me if I am wrong BUT is it not a distinct difference between SS and Titanium when you look at it?? I would say that Titanium is more greyish than SS.

Thanks a million br549 I assume thats a genuine watch because all I seemto be hearing is that my one is a fake and I'm still doubting that, I might be very wrong, the watch I have has been opened and has a ETA 955414 swiss 7 jewels V8 on the movement and I have found some watches including Breitling that have used this. please tell me what model number/ model this watch is its the closest thing I have seen to mine. Thanks again :-)

Sorry, all the info I have on this piece is what administration has posted in the link provided. I've never seen another example of this watch and as administration says they seem to be rare. I really can't say one way or the other if yours is real or not. It certainly appears that your watch could have some basis in reality and I think the movement that you described would be appropriate for this watch as well. Did you happen to find any other markings inside the caseback or on the movement itself that could help?

The troubling thing for me is the titanium marking on the caseback and as Aleister says it seems to be trying to push the case for authenticity. An interesting thought I had though was the name of the watch "Titan Gold". I was wondering instead of the normal reference to the moon of Saturn or the mythological reference if this could also be a play on words for Titanium? Just a thought. Probably reaching a bit too far there.

That's all I know about this. Maybe others could will have other thoughts or opinions.

I think you may be on to something. It appears that the inserts on the bezel are gold colored. "Titan Gold" = "Titanium and Gold" maybe?

Sounds logical to me.

I had previously commented that the OP's finding of the ETA 955.414 could be correct for this watch. This assumption was based on the listing of this watch as a quartz in the write up found here: http://www.breitlingsource.com/watch_de ... d_193.html
However I just noticed that the watch is also listed as having a Breitling 50 cal movement (automatic mechanical) that is evidently unique to this particular watch. Depending on which movement (quartz vs. mechanical) is correct could help validate or refute the authenticity of this.

I'll be home on the weekend and will see what I have then, but not sure that I have a specific reference to this.

For what it's worth you aren't hearing that it's fake from me. I am convinced that I have seen something similar to this before, but I can't remember where - maybe one of the auction houses in the last few years. This period in Breitling history is horrendously documented, but I think that this watch is 100% real, and I think that the dial has been customised more than is usual today which is why it looks odd.
