Can someone tell me what the original crystal on a late '80s Breitling Old Navitimer 81610 should be: acrylic or Saphire? Thanks for having a look to this question. |

Mineral crystal, but Breitling now replace with sapphire during service if they produce one for that model (don't know if they do for the 81610). Welcome to BreitlingSource. |

Thanks for swift reply Rof. I sourced one with a (as I now understand) replacement acrylic crystal and am in real doubt whether to buy or not. It's a beautiful piece and I like it to still have the Valjoux 7750 movement. Would be my first Breitling if I go for it. (I'm truly a newbie here...) |
