Hi, i saw this item on this seller's thread. It's a Breitling gold coloured lapel badge. What is the use of it, is it for a person to pin it on long sleeve collar ? http://www.breitlingsource.com/phpBB2/v ... hp?t=42896 |

Same as any other lapel pin - for jacket lapels as a decorative piece or depending on pin structure can also be used as a tie tack. |

no, lapel pins are - per definition - pinned to boxer shorts, seller has the perfect short on offer, he might offer you a package deal ? and what, please, is a "long sleeve collar" ? just learning, English is not my native language. |

The picture you posted is not even a badge for a working person, it's for military personnel, you can see that it's hanging. If you have nothing to do, benignly go to jokes forum, thanks. ![]() |

OK, Fred you tried. I will come out and say it - there is no such thing as a "long sleeve collar." ![]() As for a lapel pin, it's a lapel pin! A lapel is "The part on each side of a coat or jacket immediately below the collar that is folded back." So yes, if you have a suit coat, a blazer or any kind of coat that has a lapel, the lapel pin would be for you. But only if you are a lapel pin person and, if you are not, then clearly it would be a personal fashion faux pas. So it is like everything else, "A lapel by any other name is still not a long sleeve collar." Or perhaps, "To pin or not to pin. That is the question. Whether tis nobler for the lapel to suffer the slings an punctures of repetitive use...or to take arms against a sea of sharp objects and by opposing, end them? To pin. To bleed. No more. And by a bleed to say we end the thumb ache and the thousand natural shocks that flesh is heir to." |

WatchFred wrote: and what about the explaining what a "long sleeve collar" is ? thought your posts per definition were part of the jokes forum, you mean to say this was serious ? Maybe you lack the ability to comprehend a very normal sentence, you don't even know what a collar is ? You don't even have a modicum of common sense, thus you think that it's a joke. Read all your own replies on your thread and read carefully how the other person reacted to your first reply, and you truly know you are acting like a child or are you one yourself ? ![]() |
