Just had my new aero delivered yesterday, and didn't realize there were quite a few differences to the dials. I thought it was just the pinstripes and addition of numbers....... but....... if you look very carefully.... the font on the 12, 3, 6 & 9 polished arabics is slightly different too. As well as losing the small baton markers behind the 3 and 6 Chapter ring is different also. Still very happy though. ![]() ![]() |

24hr inner chapter ring too, much prefer the baton dial though. |

I think I'm with you on that as a 60/40 biased. Although the newer dial is growing on me. Because of the patterning on the dial, it looks a dark charcoal grey in most lights. |

Hi Murphy, Under the 11, 12 & 1 in the top picture, is that the continuation of the pin strip on the edge of the digital dispaly, or is it just the photo angle? Looks like there is some form of dial distotion at that junction. Is it just me or the picture? Regards Jim |

I use my Aerospace(s) 'as intended' whilst flying, and I'm no fan of fussy dials as the can detract and distract. I prefer the dial on my older Rep. minutes to that on the Avantage - I find the numerals a bit too fussy, but they have grown on me a bit. They are a bit too shiny though. However, of all my 'Professional' variants, the best dial was on my old Chronospace which had plain numerals. As for the newer Aerospace Avantage version dial, I quite like the 5 minute numerals as opposed to the baton markers, but don like the pin-striping, though the 3,6, 9 and 12 numerals are slightly less fussy and curvey which I prefer ... Wonder if BUK would sell me an upgrade dial if I sent it in for a service? |

Prefer the baton dial but much prefer the font of the cardinal arabics on the new dial. Oh, but loose the pinstripes and bring back the 24 hour chapter ring Breitling. ![]() |

The verbiage on the dial varies as well. My previous Aero had "Chronometre Certifie". ![]() My current one has "Chronometre Aerospace". ![]() |
