here it is, Roff: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Rare-Breitling- ... 0954953813
seems to be one of the late 80s editions, looks legit to me, though I have not seen this particular model b4.

Yes that is the model. It just does not like like any prior or current montbrillant

Yep, it's one of Schneider's limited edition retro pieces from the 80s.

It'll be a vintage movement, don't know specifically which one they used, but if you can get a photo of it (get a watchmaker to open it) we can soon tell you.

This is probably a Venus cal. 88. Breitling had a couple of models in limited editions in 18kt gold cases 3from about 30 to 100 pcs with old movements, which they have dug out from a storage. The models where only available for about 3 years and called Montbrillant Series. If I remember exactly, it was around 1990 to 1993, but maybe up to two years later. They have never been in the catalog. Also they are neither mentioned in Breitling the book nor in the Richter. There where also models using a Landeron (Cal. 11 and 22) movement. The retail pricing at that time was in ATS between 80.000 and 135.000, which is now € 6000,- to € 10000,-.
We sold a couple of watches of that series, and we had lots of trouble with their functionality and many reclamations.

thanks for your note. i bought the watch for $6K. it is brand new. i took it to my watchmaker who said the movement looked fine and he could repair it if there was a problem. so far (about 1 week) it keeps fantastically accurate time. it is a really beautiful watch so i do hope it keeps working well. thanks for your note

To clarify, it's not brand new, it's 25 years old it just may be new old stock (NOS).
