You do realize the huge size difference between the two, right? I dont personally like how the lugs and bracelet blend into each other on the legende. I like the olympus much more in that sense. But the sheer magnitude of the mammoth legende is something to behold.

I like the integrated bracelet on the Legende myself...I lusted after the Heritage (similar design) for ages, but when the time came that I could afford one, it had been discontinued. Imagine the pleasure of finding out that Breitling had bought out the Legende....similar look and larger to boot.
Tough choice, but it always is with Breitling.[/i]

While the olympus is a stunner, its just too small for my gorilla wrists, I'd vote legende though I was about to buy a legende and very nearly did ....why not?

I had my AD get a Navi world in all silver to compare it with and the naviworld just edged it imho.....so glad I got to compare them both on the wrist though.

its a stunner! see what I mean:-

I'd definitely say the Olympus if it was bigger, but as it's tiny (relatively speaking) I'd have to say the Legende.

If you are not concerned with the smaller case size (and fancy the expense!), the go for the Olympus. It's got a great movement and you don't see many around. But, if like many of us, size matters ( :? ), then the Legende is the way to go.

Well I like both of them.

Based on other ongoing discussions I'm obviously going to say the Legende, but the white face Olympus is on the future acquisiton list as well.

I have big wrists, but I'm comfortable with the smaller watches as well and wouldn't consider the Olympus to be too small.

For what it's worth, the gold Olympus with the white face is breathtaking.

Just ordered my white faced Monty Olympus on SS through the group buy! Amazing deal. Should have it on Friday so I'll post pics.

I really like how the bracelet goes into the case on the Legende. That, and the size, would make it a clear vote for the Legende.

I did just the same thing as Doc - ordered a silver Navi World and a silver Legende and compared them on the wrist, before deciding on the... Legende.

(However, I really like the complications of the Olympus.)

FiveO --

They're both beautiful, both worthy of ownership, and each has its
own unique character. The Olympus, though somewhat dainty, has
all of those wonderful complications housed in a classic design package.
Once you start wearing bifocles, though, it's kind of hard to read all
of that wonderful info -- and you'd look kind of silly whipping out a
magnifying glass just to check the date.

The Legende, the titan of the Navitimer line, has got it all: size (it does matter),
looks, elegance, loads of useful info... My only hesitation
is the integrated bracelet. I'm not sure what could be done if, say,
you damaged the links near the watch's head. Would some sort
of radical surgery have to be performed to remove the deformed
links and solder in new ones? How could a problem like that
be dealt with at a reasonable price? And I don't think you'd have
the option of putting on a different type of band.

I guess I'd choose the Olympus, despite its smaller size, because I
want those bracelet options open. But both watches are beauties
that deserve your full attention. Just choose wisely. :)

Steve

Like them both. I'd go with the size that suits you.

I would try them on and then look at each one on the wrist together...

But if it were me...I'd go with the white :cigar:
