I was wondering if anyone knew whether the Callisto 2002 was a men's or women's watch? Thanks! My first post! |

My wife has a Callisto (circa 2003). It's pretty small. They are only about 34mm. I would say a women's watch. However, there are a few in the 02 Chronolog that could probabaly go either way. |

My first post! Welcome aboard! I would sat a womens watch as well but the configuration/color of dial strap etc could have a bearing on it as well. |

Until 20/25 years ago, 34mm was considered the standard size for a man's watch. Diver's watches such as the Submariner at 40mm were thought to be large. Since then, typical size has grown so that a 40mm watch is now probably the average size. There is a tendency towards even bigger watches so most new Breitlings are now in the region of 44/45mm. Therefore, the Callisto is now marketed as a women's watch. However, it is the same size as the Rolex Air King which I think is still marketed as a man's watch. As with all these things, the only rule is "if you like it, wear it"! |
