I've had my Superocean Heritage for nearly two months now. I hit it against a desk at school and scratched the watch. Can this be buffed out? I purchased it from Tourneau. Should I bring it there, or to my local jeweler.

Looks like the metal bezel was scratched, I don't believe that can be polished out, most likely would need a new bezel. Take a blue sharpie or some crayola crayons and try to color it in lol.

Yeah that is an accept it or get a new bezel insert in I'm afraid.

If you're in the USA, Call Breitling USA in Connecticut tomorrow and they can give you an idea on how much it would cost. If they can do a dial color change for around $800 ( which is significantly more difficult) I would imagine that replacing the bezel would be much less expensive.

Scratches and dings are inevitable, and bring character to your watch, I know where I got every nick and mark in my watches, rejoice in it. Now it's REALLY yours.

To me it looks like the inner diameter of the bezel has 2 small gouges.

As painful as these scratches are, they're inevitable. I'd just put up with it until you get it serviced in a few yrs and replace the bezel then. Over the next 5 yrs you are bound to get a few more scratches, so might as well get them on this bezel before you replace it :)

The pic is blurry. Is the bezel metal/ceramic/rubber/other? If there are two chunks out of the inner ring like it appears, they can't be filled in but they can be polished up to be less visible. Making them low profile would actually involve 'polishing down' the edges to them slightly. As far as the scratch on the blue portion, if the scratch is visible because the blue on the bezel itself was removed, there isn't much you can do other than 'touchup', in which results may vary. If the scratch is visible because part of whatever you hit has left its own makings on it, you can make it look better with a light abrasive by removing whatever is on it. If that is the case, I'd let either Breitling or an authorized service center do it for the reason that any time you do 'touchup', it is easy to have it looking 10x worse in no time. If the bezel is actually painted, some people can also 'stretch' the paint to close a scratch using certain compounds...again, results will vary. Chances are Breitling or an authorized service center can make it look better without replacing parts, but it is never going to look 100% so a lot of it depends on how anal you are.

The reason I advocate having someone with formal association to Breitling do it is because if they try to make it look better and either, 1) make it look worse, or 2) break something, then you won't be nearly as far up the creek and you'll have a paddle within reach...
