Hi Everyone. I am thinking of buying a new Watch to add to my collection at the end of this month and the two short listed are both Breitling.
The Navitimer World with black dial and Black leather strap or the Chronomat44 in SS and with black dial. I know the Chronomat has the lastest Breitling movement and the World is a modified ETA but I am drawn by looks to the Navitimer dispite the movement. Your knowledge and advice would be very welcome in helping me make the right choice. Thanks

From everyone's anticipation I'm pretty sure there's going to be an in-house World. You should wait for that one. And welcome!

I love the navitimer world, thats next on my list I love the size 46mm, it's just a beautiful watch all around. I own 4 super avengers now love the 48mm size also. Anything 45 to 48mm for me.

I say go with the world if you are more drawn to it. Or like what has been said, be patient and hope for an in house world in the near future and get the best of both worlds.

I own a black dial Navitimer World and love it. For me the World is a classic timepiece and a worthy addition to any collection. Whether or not it's worth waiting for an in-house version to be released is a decision only you can make.
I consider the Chronomat44 to be a nice watch but in no way a classic. Who knows, with time that opinion may change.

If you think this is your first and most probably your last Brietling, I would recommend getting the World or Navitimer 01 as they are definitely the Breitling flagship. (IMHO).

Navitimer 01 with black croc strap.
Or Navitimer World if you want a larger watch (46mm).
