Hi folks! As some of you might know, what brought me to join our great community was my acquisition of my grail watch's latest installment, the Navi 01 LE. I thoroughly love this watch and though it's by far not the most practical in my little collection, it be the last I'd let go if I had to. That said, my liking the thing so much is not only a good thing, for I'm being far too careful with it. Which is to say, I hardly ever wear it. I got the watch for a very special occasion so worn or not, it makes me happy. That's not the problem. The problem is that I'd like to wear a Navi, while, as exposed above, I don't want to wear the one I have. This has me seriously considering the acquisition of a new piece for day to day wear. More specifically, it got me interested in the Navi world on a steel navi bracelet. So much so that I might pull the trigger on one by the end of the year, but does this make sense at all? Or is it just me being stupid? If anything it would get my lineup to be more ling-intensive... |

If your job is as a deep sea diver then yes, it's an incredibly dumb idea, but for desk jockeys like me, why the heck not. |

Not stupid at all, assuming you can handle 3 extra mm of width at 15 mm height across your wrist. Too large for me, and I was self-conscious about banging my 43mm Heritage against something. If banging that big piece against something is the real problem with your 01, then you might think twice. As a daily wearer, I went down to the standard size Navi and was much more comfortable. If you're comfortable with 43mm though, you might want to consider something like a Heritage. Downside is integrated bracelet,, but probably as affordable as a world now. |

My wrist is not large, I wear it all the time except around water. |

If I were you, I'd wear my Navi 01 LE anytime I wanted to wear it — up to and including every day. That's what they're made for. |

An excuse to buy another one... ![]() ![]() In all seriousness, why not? I think it'll be great. As Roff mentioned if you're not deep sea diving then totally suitable. But if you are a deep sea diver, then maybe a Superocean Abyss might be more in line. ![]() |

Dumb idea. Wait for an inhouse Navi World. It won't be far off and then you'll be kicking yourself. |

I've been telling myself that as well, it'll probably hit Basel '13, but then, I really like the Caliber 24 with the 12-9-6 subdials. The 04 won't have that. And the new World'll be significantly more expensive by the look of things. For a watch that'll be worn without too much regard to where it may or may not be knocked into... That's a point to consider. Now, I'm in no way a deep sea diver and if I was I'd have just the watch for the job with my Sif. But still it may all be a bit much for my 01L, a watch that I'd like to keep in as good a shape as I can. Maybe then, my idea isn't that far out after all... |

As stated above, watches are robust - you're not going to severely damage it in the normal course of life. Water aside I'd wear the navi pretty much anywhere in any situation (excluding hard exercise, golf, and places where it would make you a target etc). I agree with Serio also, I'd wait to see what is coming out over the next few months before making a final decision. |

Guess I'm not tracking you. Waiting for a more expensive and more complicated movement watch as your daily driver over the one you can't bring yourself to wear? Granted, I get the LE distinction and maybe thats the point. |

Granted, I get the LE distinction and maybe thats the point. Well I see what you're saying, but there are two maybe not entirely obvious things to factor in here. The 01L is a bit of an emotional item for me as it pertains to a special occasion. On top of that, it being rather rare already when I bought it, the price was not exactly harmless. I think I could find a World for significantly less than what I paid for the 01L at the time. Hence the idea. It works with other Navis as well of course, but I sort of like the World. And since the blue-sky is so darn overpriced, I guess it's my only realistic shot at purchasing a blue navi. |

Blue sky should retail at or near the same price as the 01 LE. At least that's what I was told by my AD when I ordered mine. |

Is that so? I read something like "5 figures" which is seriously steep in my book. If it revealed itself to be a misunderstanding... I might reconsider drastically. Love those blue subdials. Anything more precise on availability and pricing? |

The thing is though, if I were to get that, I might well end up babying it just as much as my present LE... Oh dear, decisions... decisions... |
