This watch seems pretty unique, what is the purpose of it - particularly the window on the left that goes to 10?

It's a 10 minute chronograph counter.

What's the point of it? It goes 1 - 10, then back to 1? The chronograph keeps going though?

It's the minute indicator for the chronograph - the subdial for the chrono goes to 3 hours so accurately reading the minutes from that is impossible.

What's interesting here is that the chrono minutes counter must be built a bit like a date wheel, thus only having room for ten min. It would therefore be subjected to pretty high stress and wear and would have to be rather well built.

Interesting approach, rather easy to realize so far as I can tell and not exactly practical... Much unlike the JLC approach in one of the Extreme Labs, they have adapted a big date to show the minutes... For the whole sixty of them... Quite impressive mechanics.

Oh come on, not really. It's an 80s movie sure, but anyone who got through their teenage years without Spinal Tap, Rocky Horror Picture Show, etc hasn't lived!

Well yes, the thought occurred.

Don't agree. Total classics that everyone should see. Being "too young" is a lame excuse for having no taste!
