I picked up an expanding Breitling Display Board at a local auction many moons ago, but as it has spent the last year gathering dust behind the TV, I'm going to part with it, probably via the 'bay.

It occurred to me that I have no idea what the plane pictured actually is, which makes describing it a bit of a problem...! It's a single prop, and appears all silver with no obvious markings.

So simple question - what is it?

Thanks in advance!

Looks like a modified racing version of the P-51 Mustang.

It's a Reno air race aircraft called Precious Metal - a modified P51 Mustang with contra rotating propellers.

It sounds amazing!

Thanks Paul and Willows!

My e-bay advert now identifies the plane, and contains links to the youtube clip.

And yes, it sounds fantastic!
