Post subject:  Purchasing overseas in the uk???
im considering purchasing a new breitling from a forum sponsor (andrew michaels)... my question is: is there a positive or negative to purchasing from the uk (considering i live in the states)? i will eventually sell or trade the watch for something different, but wasnt sure if this type of purchase affects the future value?

You're buying from a well known AD - no issues. Just make sure that you factor any import duty / sales taxes in at your end.

Probably a question better asked of someone in the US :lol:

In Canada the import duty is defined by the federal government and available on the customs website, I assume that something similar exists in the US. Sales tax may be exempt as you guys seem to be able to avoid sales taxes simply by buying out of state, but again check that with the relevant authorities.

ok this might sound like a stupid question but i have to ask....

why would you buy the piece in the UK if you live in the US??? it makes no sense to me.

the states are a better place to buy breitlings then in europe! prices are way lower...

cannot imagine that you cant get the same price in the usa, especially including taxes and duty's...

if i buy a watch in the states from a seller then i have to pay 19% of the value of the watch to the customs.
