Hi, all!

I've recently acquired a Navitimer 92, which I'm absolutely thrilled with!

I've always liked/owned smaller watches, but have always loved the Navitimer line, so being able to find a 92 was just perfect for me. Right after I got it, brought it to an AD and got a new crystal, new strap, and had it serviced. Just got it back, and couldn't be happier!

As I've always had smaller watches, I've never owned a chronograph before, and have a really dumb question about it...
Do people generally leave the chrono running all the time? Leave it stopped and just use it when necessary? Personal preference? Any reason to do one or the other?

Thanks very much for any input!

Running the chrono will only take more energy and wind down the watch faster. No point in keeping the chrono running.

I only use it when needed. Like timing parking meters. :)

I actually let it run for the first week I owned mine (SA) until I got used to the smaller second hand dial. Now I only really use it when I fly for the wheels up/wheels down time. Or as jlee5050 stated - timing parking meters.

Also good for labor contractions, other medical procedures,
& timing the barman's prep of your favorite drinks.

Ive left mine running 24/7 at times. Chronos can seem kind of boring sometimes since nothing is really moving to the eye.

I sync the chrono second hand with the watch second hand and run them 24/7.

I use mine all the time for reasons listed above and more.

It's always a good idea for chrono owners to once a month run their chrono for 24hrs. Just to keep things moving and lubricated.

Nice pickup BTW
