| Post subject: | Changing the date on a Bentley GT |
I have recently purchased a Bentley GT. When attempting to alter the date on the first 'click' of the crown the day barely moves and a 'whirring sound is heard from the watch. This also occurs when the the crown is turned in the opposite direction to alter the numerals. Am I doing something wrong? |

Well first off, you need to make sure that you are not changing the date, or adjusting time backwards between 8pm and 3am because you can seriously damage the watch. I'm unclear on what you are saying about the whirring - that sounds like the rotor turning, but that has nothing to do with the crown adjustments. Is the date / time still changing properly, or is it not changing at all? If the rotor is not disengaging properly then winding the watch can cause it to whirl around, but not sure how that could happen when you are changing the watch. |
