Reason I ask is that I recently acquired a Breitling Croco strap with the Breitling deployant and I love the way the clasp is designed without holes and you can adjust to a perfect fit - Good. I also really like the way the clasp clicks closed and it seems very secure - Good .... But I don't like the way the underside of the clasp always leaves a mark on the underside of your wrist and I have heard people who can never get a comfortable fit for that reason - Bad As secure as the clasp feels I think it could still open if you catch it in the wrong way so there is a small risk of it coming off the wrist so needs to have the security of buttons either side like maybe the ocean racer clasp. - Bad

The deployant clasp has remained pretty much unchanged accept for the raised logo which is unusual for such an innovative watch manufacture, what do others think on here?

I'm on the fence with this one really. For me, it's great in as much as it's infinitely adjustable so you can get exactly the right size. I also personally find it extremely comfortable once a strap has broken in sufficiently. Plus I personally think it's extremely secure, and even if it did come open - it's a deployant so your watch won't fall to the floor. Lastly (and this goes for all deployants), it prolongs the life of the strap, so that makes it a good design in my book.

That said, I do think it's a slightly odd design the way the strap has to bend through the clasp a little unnaturally, especially when the strap's new. And I've also heard tales of it slipping a little over time, although I've personally never found that to be the case.

For me, I think there are much better deployants IF (and only IF) you're lucky enough for it to fit exactly - i.e. if the holes in the strap that most other deployants use are just at the right place to allow a perfect fit. If not, then the inifinitely adjustable Breitling deployant wins purely because of the ability to get a perfect fit.

I think that sums it up - deployants will always be a compromise - find one that might fit depending on size (and will likely be loose or tight at different times of year, day, etc) or find one that can always be adjusted to fit but may not always be the most comfortable.

I actually really like it, the only problem that I have is when I put a Breitling deployant on an older (and hence generally smaller) watch I get to the point where there is only just enough tail on a standard strap to hold in hte deployant.
