Hey, guys! So, I've managed to put a few dings on the shiny part of the bezel on the Super Avenger. Will Cape Cod cloths take out dings, or just scratches? Should I just chalk this up to day-to-day wear, or is there a way to fix them? Occupational hazard. Thanks! |

Cape cod wont take any dings out. It gets rid of very light surface scratches and thats about it. |

Ditchdoc, If a dent is so bad it's left a gaping hole, then no polishing can replace metal that's no longer there. HOWEVER, if it's a moderate ding, on, say, the edge of the case or bezel, you'd be surprised what some vigorous polishing with the Cape Cods can accomplish. Case in point: My Steelfish recently received a small dent on the upper edge of the right front lug, where polish meets satin finish (no idea how it happened). It wasn't a simple scratch; I could run my fingernail over it and feel the indentation. So I set to with the Cods. For four hours I polished and polished, taking care not to polish away the satin finish on the top part of the lug. Slowly the dent disappeared -- or rather was reduced to a bare shadow of what it had been. It was worth all of the work (and the sore fingers ) because the lug now looks like new. The dent on your watch may be worse, of course, but I think it's worth a try, don't you? After all, you want to keep that watch looking as beautiful as possible for as long as possible. ![]() Steve |

Unless your going to change the way you use the watch you may be wasting your time. You could just wait till it needs service in a couple years and when you get it back it will look like a new watch. |

When you say polished part of the bezel, do you mean the inner ring? That's actually not on the bezel but rather on the case. If it bothers you I'd try to get the AD to buff it out and not try myself as it is so close to the crystal. Good luck! |

Yes, it's the small polished part of the case inside the bezel. Just a small "nick," my wife rolled her eyes at me. I didn't consider that they would take care of it at service time. Just a minor annoyance, really. |

Its definitely part of the case. I have one on mine and its too deep to even resurface. I believe the case has to be replaced if you want to get rid of it. |
