So...

I love my new pen, i really do. BUT, the cartridge seems to be defunct. and, i want to buy a new refill...

I have been to Staples, OFficeMax, Walmart, Michaels, and Joann fabrics. No dice.

The tip on my pen SUPER SMALL (so regular fine point will NOT fit through the hole)... Also, none of the refills i have seen seem to have the crimp that acts as a detent for the spring.

Here is the pen i have....

The cartridge in the pen currently says "Microline Super Plus 50".... I googled that term and came up with nothing.

Questions:
1. Does the "Microline Super Plus 50" denote that it is a micro (or .50mm point?)... because a fine (.70mm will not fit).
2. Does anyone know where i can buy a dang refill?

Did you just buy that one on the Bay? I think you are the person who outbid me if so!

No idea on the refill BTW. I've never used any of mine.

Unless somebody here knows (Sharkie might, since he is Mr. Swag), your best bet will probably be to call BUSA and ask them what to use as a refill.

That sucks. The last one I had used a standard refill so I just used a montblanc cartridge from Office Depot.

All the ones I've had will take a standard Montblanc cartridge.

Yeh the prop blade pen was pretty much the first Breitling pen made, hence does not use any of the later roller type refills. For the later ones a lot of roller refills will fit, the mid models used Schmidt refills, these were prob the best quality pens they made.

The early one used a simple almost early biro like thin plastic push in type. Ironically, what you need to find are really cheap biro type pens, with the old type thin knib push in refil. It can be done because i did it, the later biro push ins are just too big. Search in the cheap pen section at the supermarket.

Pretty sure that's not the original refill.

Any luck with BUSA? They may not know the answer, but if they do, it would save you some trouble.

I was able to find one through Staples or a local stationary store - memory is failing me @ the moment as to which.

I'll post the brand/details when I get home from work and can dig up the packaging. Worked for the same pen I have. It's a universal refill, complete with a new spring and is perforated at various lengths. Just match up with the existing refill for length and breakaway the excess.

These seem to be readily available in the UK.
Have a look for a standard generic ballpoint refill. The type that goes in a pen with a push/click top :-)
About $4 for two.
