[url]Hello BSOURCE...

I'm new here just joined couple days ago. Great site. Always been a fan of breitlings and like the sense of community on here. I've seen there are a lot of SOH owners on the forums and wanted to ask them if they have had any problems with the bezel scuffing up. I'm looking to buy SOH chrono as my first breitling and am concerned that the black coating on the bezel may suffer normal wear. I'm wondering how scratch resistant this bezel is because polishing would most likely be ineffective. I also wanted to ask if the pro 2 bracelet 24mm would fit on this watch.

Thanks for any help!

Cheers
SFH

Welcome to BreitlingSource.

The bezel colour goes all the way through so even if it scratches it won't look too bad. My wife has an SOH38 as a beater and the colour is still fine.

There is no Pro II bracelet designed for it, not sure if anyone has managed to get one to fit properly.

The lady at the AD where I got my SOHC told me to be careful of the bezel. She said that the bezel had an enamel finish, that it could not be polished and would have to be replaced if it got scratched.

Was she wrong?

Are you sure on this one Roff? I always assumed it was an anodized bezel á la pre-ceramic Rolex Subs.....

Well I am sure that my wife's is scratched to pieces and still doesn't show any loss of colour - that led me to assume that it was all the way through. Maybe it's just that the anodized coating is thick enough to not show????
