Not sure if this has been answered before, but can someone tell me what the last two digits at the end of the model number means please?

For example -

A2536212/B686

In this example we all know that the "A" means steel, the "25" is the calibre, the "3" means it's a chronometer, and the"62" is model specific (in this case a Bentley Motors), but what does the following "12" denote? :huh

And also is the B686 a bracelet reference or a dial reference?

I've done some research on and off (mostly off!) on reference numbers. Here's what I've found. (Wish I had a dealer's handbook!)

eg A2332212-B6-435X

A = Steel
23 = Calibre 23
3 = COSC certified
22 = model reference
12 = don't know!!! - I've seen speculation its some sort of bezel reference

B6 = Black dial

435X = strap reference (434/436 are leather so I assume this is as well)

B686 is, I believe, a stainless steel Speed bracelet.

The case material codes are in the reference section on this site but I've found a couple more. No idea if these are genuine or not.
P: Platinum Bezel/Steel Case
T: Palladium

There's a long list of strap references on this site as well but I think there are dozens more.

Dial references - still in early stages

A5=white A5=white MOP
B5=black B6=black B7=black
C5=blue C6=blue

E5=grey
F5=grey
G5=white G5=silver G5=ivory
H5=gold
I5=yellow

K5=red K5=pink K5=burgundy
L5=green
M5=grey

Q5=brown

I'm sure there's enough knowledge on this forum to crack the code!

I can add a (very) little Sharky

435X is indeed calf - black to be precise.

P is platinum, but it doesn't need to be all platinum - the Complications 19 that I am buying (steel with a platinum bezel) has a P reference number.

I have a bunch of strap references somewhere that I'll try and find over the weekend.

Thanks guys. :thumbsup:

The dial reference numbers are new to me, so that's great to know. Looks like those last 2 digits after the model number are possibly still ellusive though!! :? I might have a chat to my AD about it when I'm next there.

(While we're about it - I'm not sure if this is in the case material reference section on here as I've not checked, but one possible addition is "G" which is steel and white gold).
