Post subject:  Resize a Navitimer bracelet

Hi guys,

I saw in Youtube the tutorial about how to resize a Breitling pilot bracelet, but is the 5 rows one.

I was wondering how difficult is to resize a Navitimer bracelet, due its 7 rows configuration. Any special consideration to keep in mind?, can it be done at home or would you recommend to get it done by an AD instead?.

Thanks so much.

It can be done, but its definitely more difficult as each link is a separate piece. Make sure to do it on a flat surface so that you can keep each link in order. It will be a pain in the ass if you get middle and side links mixed up.

I was quite surprised how much more fiddly the Navi bracelet was the first time I adjusted one. But if you work methodically and as RJRJRJ said, mind you don't mix up the end pieces, you'll be fine.

I wasn't aware of that. Thanks for the info guys.

Something else also related to that, is there anywhere in the internet where I can purchase the proper tools to resize a Breitling bracelet?, specially the Navitimer model?.

Since I am based in UK, it would be much more convenient to buy from a British seller.

Not sure if this question has already been discussed. If so, feel free to refer me to the link, and ask me yo fuck off

This is covered else where but more than once - so easier to give the info again.

I use these

Same quality as Bergeon and a lot cheaper.

Also you'll need a good spring bar tool if you want to swap straps/bracelets

Watch Tool are very good, fast and friendly.

Thanks for the link, that will definitely help. I don't want anyone to put their hands on my Ling apart from me, when I get it.

Cheers guys

Just to clarify, I didn't mean I preferred a seller with British nationality, but a seller based in Britain.

I wanted to make that clear, just in case it came out wrong and sounded a bit odd.

damn foreigners

Don't think anyone would have misunderstood Phil

BTW - choose which screwdriver for a good fit to ensure you don't slip and damage the screw head or bracelet. You'll find that as the threads are loctited they can be tight 1st time so a good fit is essential.

I know every one swears by Bergeon but the set I showed has really impressed me - excellent quality.
