A few questions:

Has anyone had a chance to play around with Superocean Chronograph M2000? If so, what can you share about the "magnetic pushpiece system" in terms of performance, any special care (due to the magnet), ease of use, etc?

Also, How often would one expect to have to replace the "Superquartz" battery (predicated on using the chronograph functions very rarely)? What generally is the cost of doing so? Does Breitling do a full service of the watch when replacing the battery?

Thanks, as always!

Nothing special about the magnetic pushpiece, in fact less to go wrong than a regular mechanical system.

As you can see from the models page for it the battery is rated for 2 - 3 years - http://www.breitlingsource.com/watch_de ... e_261.html. A service would be needed with approximately every 2nd battery change and as you haven't stated where you are the best thing to do for pricing of servicing is to look at teh Breitling website. Under maintenance centres once you have provided your location there is a PDF showing all of the service costs.

Roff explained it all while writing this

Congrats on this beauty.

This technology is only useable if you want to operate the pushpiece underwater. I cannot think of any special (different than others) care for that piece.

Take a look at this website for more information on battery life (I've done it at it looks 2-3 years)!

Also, check Breitling website for prices and different services (regular and overhaul) for you watch.

:yeahthat Definitely not a worry if the pushers are accidentally activated when wet/underwater...
Nice- not having to unlock the pushers like some other dive-chrono's. :lingsrock:

I took the Seawolf swimming lay week and made a point of timing my swim - not because I needed to, just because I could.

Can't see me bothering again though, especially as I couldn't see the dial so still ended up using the clock on the pool wall...
