What a day!

I actually succeded to place all my designwishes in the Breitling headoffice. Had a short talk with Number one (Teddy Schneider, who is a charming, uncomplicated man) and his number two (damned, I am too stupid to remember names...), who is an even nicer lady, very understanding and open to the problems:

The square in the Chronomat (we might get a surprise!)
The numberfont on the bezel (they cannot change that for quite a while)
The bracelet on the colt (they have that one in planing already!)
The rubber bezel on the Superocean (They have realised that as well!)

Hope, that will help...

Wow, this could be interesting! However, the MAIN one is (IMHO) the bezel font, which is clearly going to be around for a while. :?

This is great news Thomas, it would appear that they are starting to listen to the concerns expressed amonf the core fanbase. We can't expect them to agree with us on everything, but this could be a light at the end of the tunnel.

Thanks for keeping us posted!

I'm sure they could if they really wanted to. The cynic in me thinks it's because they think if they ditched it only three years after its inception, it would be tantamount to admitting it was a lousy design choice from the outset. But in all, I agree, this is largely encouraging news - assuming they're being straight up with you, and not giving you a PR spiel.

Idk, I still like my G41's bezel...I also love my SOSF's bezel, so I guess I'm a rare breed? I hate the new Colt though.

And then years from now, the Buck Rogers font models will be collector's items! Yeah, that's it! :nana:

Seriously though, I agree. They won't change it anytime soon in order to avoid eating crow. The easiest thing to quickly improve is PUT A DAMN PIP ON THE BEZEL, PEOPLE!! The SO series is the ONLY dive watch in the world without a pip. How do you miss that???

Ok, rant over...

I did not talk to them about blacksteel LEs, but I am quite sure, they will keep making them for the next years (as long as they sell...), but as Breitling has about 2200 outlets worldwide, the series of 1000 or 2000 pcs are quite easily distributed.
