On a Breitling model D - can someone tell me the weight in grams of the yellow gold (18K) bezel? Also a rough idea of replacement cost.
Thanks

No idea on weight or replacement cost, but D is simply the prefix for gold, you'll have to give us the number as well to know what the model is.

Hi Thanks for prompt response - Old Navitimer - D13022.
Does that help?

Nice watch, but unless someone here owns one and has removed the bezel and weighed it (which is very unlikely with a Navitimer) then I don't think you're going to have easy time finding out the weight I'm afraid. Weight of components is not something Breitling have ever done. In terms of replacement cost, you'll be best to contact Breitling direct. Not sure where you are based but check out the Breitling website for contact details of the nearest service centre. They'll be able to tell you over the phone.

Yeah, Navitimer bezel removal is not something that is really recommended, so don't think anyone is going to be able to answer.

I'm not sure how relevant the weight is anyway, beyond mere academic interest, or if you want to sell it only for its gold value. The cost of a replacement part is always in excess of the cost of its raw materials.
