No. Outside of the US the registration doesn't really exist anyway (other than for Emergency / Emergency Mission) and it's just used for the AD to register the sale with BUSA and trigger the cap to be sent. |

Without registration how does Breitling know when the warranty starts? Also does the dealer need to stamp the warranty card? |

As Roff said in his reply, outside US (mostly) the registration process does not exist. A properly filled, signed and dealer stamped Breitling Warranty booklet is what you really need to receive warranty service anywhere in the world. Lets assume that you purchased your watch from an AD in US and the AD registered it with BUSA but your watch requires warranty service while you are in Hong Kong than the Breitling Authorized Service Center in Hong Kong will not have access to your registration details but will service your watch under warranty if you have the properly filled warranty booklet with matching model and serial numbers. |

As wessa says. In terms of the dealer stamp, they should stamp it, but I know of a lot of situations where they haven't and it has never to my knowledge caused a problem. |

Yes, I have a couple like that which are still under warranty but so far did not need to put it to a test. I guess the dealer name is punched in the card anyway. In any case, it also helps to keep the original AD receipt. Most of the time it will also work if you happen to loose the warranty booklet plus of course it could be useful for insurance purposes. |

I got my watch directly mailed to me from BUSA (part of a custom LE order). I had no contact with an AD, but the box included a warranty card with serial number, etc. Do I really need to send this card in to Breitling? I would think since they mailed me the watch directly with no middle man, it shouldn't be required. Additionally, I don't have a book stamped for the reason mentioned above...I suppose the best I have is the BUSA receipt. I just want to make sure I have it all together correctly in case down the road I need to use that warranty. Any advice or inputs? |

In the absence of a dealer stamp there should be a BUSA stamp / punch in the warranty, but it's not a big deal as they will obviously have a record for servicing. It's worth sending in the registration card as that will trigger the cap to be mailed to you. |
